Testimonial

Snehatheeram received recognition from the Board of Control for Orphanages and other Charitable Homes, Kerala, in May 2007. It is also registered under Persons with Disability Act (PWD Act). Today the institution has 145 female inmates and two children. With the registration of the institution under and according to The Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act of 1955(Act.XII of 1955) in January 2003, people of good will from far and wide and family members of Sr.Roselin began to come with small and big donations which helped to purchase 52 cents more land adjacent to the old building, with a modest house for the accommodation of the nuns serving here.

In 2008 Sr.Roselin took a daring step to put up an embossing double storey building to house the out growing number of inmates. This is where Sr.Roselin proclaimed her trust in the loving and caring Father .Her silent proclamation attracted many to the site offering bricks, steel, sand, cement, doors and windows. The work started with no money in hand but somehow the workers could be paid. Other materials for plumbing, electrical works, painting and tile work were bought on credit from shopkeepers who shared sister’s vision without exposing the inmates to starve. On 9th May 2009, on the 7th anniversary of the institution, the new magnificent building was blessed and dedicated in the service of God’s special children by Rt.Rev.Joseph Kariyil, the Bishop of Punalur in the presence of the newly appointed Bishop Selvister Ponnumuthan. At present, the institution owes a debt of about 12 lacs.
